Since I last posted. Admittedly I haven’t made any time to review things, but I have been occupied I guess.
Anyway, over the following couple of weeks, I plan to:
Review “Hospice” by The Antlers. [maybe later]
Review the self-titled Them Crooked Vultures album. [done]
Review the Pearl Jam gig I’m going to in about 3 days. [done]
Review the debut EP from Goodnight Owl. [done]
So I’m not dead. Just thought I’d say.
Glad to hear you’re still alive.
I was actually going to tell you to check out Goodnight Owl but it looks like you already have. Have you been talking to Sabi?
Pearl Jam sounds exciting. I’ve heard that they’re excellent live, so I’m very jelous
Haha, yeah I have actually. I blogged about them a while ago and she offered me the EP to review. How do you know her?
And yeah, I can’t wait. I don’t know their songs well enough to sing along for most, but I’m sure they’ll be great.
I know Sabi through the internet. Just blogging and stuff.
I’m hoping to review the EP in the next week or so. I’ve been busy job hunting…again
Ah okay, cool.
Yeah, how’s that going? Any luck finding a casual job or something?
No luck, hence the hunting.
I applied at a record store today during a resume drop and would kill to get a job there. Although being around so much music may make me hate it. which would not be good.
There are heaps of CDs I want to get too. It’s not the same without the physcial copy.
Yeah, I suppose it might. But then again working somewhere like that would be good, especially if you’re passionate about what you’re selling and doing.
I still have CD’s I need to buy as well. But I also live in a small town, and will be off to uni in about a year. So I need to save a bit these days.
What will you be studying at uni?
Have you tried ebay for CDs?
I don’t usualkly shop there because I live 10 minutes away from a second hand CD store but you can get albums pretty cheap sometimes.
I’m hoping to get into journalism, and then move my way into the entertainment area so I can get into music.
And yeah, eBay is an option. But it’s not really supporting the band, it’s just re-buying a CD someone else has bought. I’d rather buy it from a band’s site or somewhere else. Saves the risk of scratched copies too.
